Pork chops with scalloped potatoes

How to make the best Air Fryer Bone In Pork Chops. Our easy homemade recipe is seasoned with flavorful spices and served crispy & juicy.

Ingredients

  • 3 Bone-in Pork Chops 1 1/2-2 inches thick
  • 3 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp Paprika
  • 1.5 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1.5 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1.5 tsp Ground Mustard
  • 1.5 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 400 F.
  • Pat dry pork chops with paper towel.
  • In a small bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.
  • Coat bone-in pork chops with olive oil and rub over the spice mix with your hands.
  • Cook bone-in pork chops in air fryer for 12 minutes, flipping pork chops over after 6 minutes.

    For the Scalloped Potatoes:

    • 4 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
    • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 2 cups milk
    • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    • Salt and black pepper to taste
    • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

    Make the Scalloped Potatoes:

    1. In the  skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
    2. Add sliced onions and cook until softened.
    3. Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir to form a roux.
    4. Gradually whisk in milk until the mixture thickens.
    5. Add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted.
    6. Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
    7. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the skillet.
    8. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes.
    9. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes and cheese sauce.
