Leftover Turkey Balls Recipe
After Thanksgiving, many of us have leftover turkey and need new ideas for how to use it. One fun way to enjoy it again is by making turkey balls. They’re easy to prepare and a tasty way to use your leftovers without waste.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups mashed potatoes
- 3 cups leftover stuffing
- 2 cups diced leftover turkey
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups panko breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil (for deep frying) or olive oil spray (for air frying)
- 1 cup gravy
Instructions:
- Mix ingredients
In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, stuffing, and turkey. Stir until mixed evenly. - Shape into balls
Line a tray with parchment paper. Roll the mixture into small balls with your hands and place them on the tray. Freeze for at least 1 hour. - Coat the balls
Beat the eggs in one bowl and pour the panko breadcrumbs into another. Dip each ball into the egg, then roll it in the breadcrumbs to coat. - Cook the turkey balls
- Deep fry: Pour vegetable oil into a pan, about 3 inches deep, and heat to 350°F. Fry 3 balls at a time for 3 minutes until golden brown, turning halfway through.
- Air fry: Put 6 balls in the air fryer basket and spray with olive oil. Set the air fryer to 390°F for 20 minutes.
- Serve
Serve your turkey balls with gravy on the side for dipping.
