Air Fryer Lobster Tails with Garlic Butter

Craving lobster but don’t want the fuss of boiling or steaming? Air frying lobster tails is the answer! It’s quick, easy, and results in perfectly cooked, tender lobster every time. The garlic butter adds a rich, flavorful touch that will make this a new favorite.

Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails (6-8 ounces each)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Lobster: Using kitchen shears or a sharp knife, carefully cut down the center of the lobster tail shell, starting from the top and stopping just before the tail fin. Gently open the shell and lift the lobster meat slightly.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Baste the Lobster: Brush the lobster meat generously with the garlic butter mixture. Make sure to get some garlic butter under the meat as well.
Air Fry: Place the lobster tails in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are not overlapping.
Cook: Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 6-8 minutes. Cooking time may vary slightly depending on the size of your lobster tails and your air fryer.
Check for Doneness: The lobster is done when the meat is opaque and firm to the touch. The internal temperature should reach 140°F (60°C).
Rest: Remove the lobster tails from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes.

Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately. Drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the lobster.

Tips and Variations

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
Experiment with different herbs, such as thyme or oregano.
If you don’t have fresh garlic, use garlic powder (about 1/4 teaspoon).
To prevent the lobster meat from drying out, brush it with garlic butter halfway through cooking.
Serve with a side of drawn butter for dipping
