Air Fryer Cauliflower

Posted on September 5, 2025

If you’re looking for a quick, healthy, and delicious side dish or snack, air fryer cauliflower is the way to go. It’s crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and you can season it any way you like — from classic garlic and herbs to spicy buffalo or cheesy parmesan.

This recipe is naturally vegan, gluten-free, and requires only a handful of ingredients. Ready in less than 20 minutes, it’s perfect for weeknight dinners or a low-carb snack.

 Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1½ tablespoons olive oil (or any neutral oil)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional, for color and flavor)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan, hot sauce, lemon juice, or chopped parsley for garnish

 Instructions

1. Prep the Cauliflower

Wash and dry the cauliflower. Cut it into evenly sized florets (not too small, or they may overcook).

2. Season It Up

In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Make sure every floret is well coated.

3. Air Fry

Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).

Add the cauliflower to the air fryer basket in a single layer — don’t overcrowd. Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.

4. Serve

Once golden and crispy, remove from the air fryer. Squeeze a bit of lemon juice on top or sprinkle with fresh parsley or cheese. Serve hot!

 Flavor Variations

  • Spicy: Add chili powder or toss with hot sauce before cooking
  • Buffalo Style: Toss with buffalo sauce after air frying and serve with ranch
  • Curry Flavored: Use curry powder instead of paprika
  • BBQ Cauliflower: Toss with BBQ seasoning or sauce for a smoky touch

 Tips & Tricks

  • Cut florets evenly so they cook at the same speed
  • Avoid using too much oil – it’ll make the cauliflower soggy
  • Air fry in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding
  • Use leftovers in wraps, salads, or grain bowls

 Notes

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 3–4 minutes for crispiness.
  • Great for meal prep or low-carb side dishes.
